The US National Power Soccer team won the first two Powerchair Football World Cup Championships in 2007 and 2011 — the first national soccer team to do so. In 2017, the team took runner-up at the 3rd World Cup, but still remains the successful power soccer team in the world. Even as back-to-back world champions, most players must raise their own funds for training camps and traveling. The next World Cup is scheduled to take place in Sydney, Australia in October 2022.
On average it costs each athlete and staff member $10,000 - $12,000 to attend training camps to prepare Team USA for the World Cup. Additionally, Team USA must raise $8,000 - $10,000 to cover facility, equipment, referee, and trainer costs. As athletes who do not receive a percentage of ticket sales or lucrative endorsements, we need your help to raise $110,00 to attend the upcoming 2022 World Cup in Australia.
As we continue our quest to compete on the international stage and retake the World Cup trophy, we need your support. We count on you by whatever means fits your budget.
Beyond making donations and helping financially, we can use your help spreading the word about our national team and power soccer. Promote the team using national or local media, online platforms, and your own social media. This is a great way to spread the great story of the US National Power Soccer Team. Spread the word to family, friends, and members of your community. Go Team USA! #UnitedStrongAble
